Guide
There are over 1+ million builds and over 300 champions with their own unique usefulness in certain situations. It is the right team composition and synergies, together with their items that matters. And this regardless of their rarity so do not worry too much about spending money. Instead spend more time strategizing and balancing your team!
Affinities
Affinities are similar to elemental effectiveness that a certain type has over the other. Magic is effective against Spirit but is weak to Force. Force beats Magic but is weak to Spirit. And Spirit beats Force but is weak to Magic. Void is a standalone strong yet neutral element or affinity without being weaker or stronger than the other 3. So to summarise, Blue > Green > Red > Blue (and the 3 affinities cycle continues). So the first strategy is to remember to use champions of a stronger color or affinity during matches. Also during battles, you can also take note of the arrow color above your selected target. If your attacking champion has a stronger element, the green arrow will be shown. Red and yellow arrows represent weaker and neutral elemental attack respectively.
Champions
Each champion can be categorized under four types: the main damage dealers, the protectors with high defense, the tank with high HP or the healers and buffers or debuffers as support. Champions also come under different rarity levels: Legendary, Epic, Rare, Uncommon and Common. They are obtainable via Shards or Fusion in which four different characters can be fused into a champion of higher rarity level. Higher rarity level champions are usually better in base stats and skills, and are harder to get. This means those of the common types are usually not worth spending your time and effort on. Feel free to fuse common champions and be very careful when fusing those of a higher rarity level! Champions can be leveled up in the tavern unlocked from level 8. You can sacrifice other champions to do so or use XP Brews. There are caps to a champion's level based on the champion’s rank. You can also ascend your champions to improve their base stats and unlock new skills or accessory slots. Ascension requires potions obtainable from the potion dungeon, mixer or shop. Back to the point about fusion, only ascended champions can be fused and the rank needed for fusion will be higher for a Legendary champion summon.
Artifacts
Artifacts are similar to equipment and act as items that improve the stats of a champion like HP, ATK, Crit rate, DEF, RESIST and more. They are obtainable via campaign battles, dungeons and the market. From the weapons to boots, carefully choose the most suitable artifact set while taking note of what set bonuses the 2-set or 4-set provides in order to suit the build of your champion. Artifacts also come in different ranks and rarities and those of a better level give more substats (with a legendary one giving 4 substats). Upgrading ranks simply improves the rarity level of the item and adds an additional substat. And enchanting an artifact to improve the substats requires a special item called Glyph. You can get glyphs via Faction crypts raids in Faction wars, or events and tournaments. Last but not least, debuffs can come from artifact sets independent of the skills of a champion, the accuracy of the attacker or the resist stats of the defender.
The Great Hall
Unlocks at level 12 and provides global boosts for stats for all champions of a certain Affinity. You can improve any of the 6 stats (HP, ATK, DEF, Critical DMG, RESIST, ACC) as bonuses and they can be applied to champions across every single battle. In order to do so, you will require medals obtainable via Arena battles. Again, they also come in tiers from the bronze to gold medals and platinum medals. Lower tier medals upgrades lower level Bonuses and you can convert lower tier medals into higher ones!
Clans
Clans allow players to support each other and give access to clan-only features like the Clan Boss and providing unique rewards like the clan chests. Make sure to search for and join a clan from the clans window. Take note of the clan' ranking and power that gives you a rough idea of how strong and active in doing clan activities the members are. Earn as many stars by being active and playing the game to contribute to the clan's progress. Each member has a part to play in defeating the clan boss because a single fight only wears down the demon lord's HP to a certain degree. The more damage dealt the better the clan chest reward!
Masteries
Obtain mastery scrolls in Minotaur's Labyrinth Dungeon. There is a maximum number or set of scrolls in which any champion can receive. 100 basic scrolls translates to 5 masteries, 600 advanced scrolls for 6 masteries and 950 divine scrolls for 4 masteries. Basically, masteries further improves the offense, defense or support stats for the champion. So, depending on the role you want your champion to play, you can use masteries to make him or her a stronger fit for that role.
