HFS (Hierarchical File System), also known as the Macintosh StandardFormat, is a volume format introduced in 1985 to replace MFS(Macintosh Filing System). Unlike MFS, which was designed for the 400kilobyte (KB) floppy disks used in the Macintosh 128K and 512K models,HFS supports a directory (i.e., folder) tree and much larger volumes(i.e., disk partitions or drives). Each folder may contain up to32,767 files; volumes on recent OS versions and computer models may beup to two terabytes (TB). Files may be as large as twogigabytes (GB) in size.
There are two kinds of blocks on an HFS volume: logical andallocation. Logical blocks, the basic storage units of a drive, arealways 512 bytes. The size of an allocation block (whichconsists of one or more logical blocks) depends on the size of thevolume. Because HFS uses a 16-bit address to store and locate data,regardless of its size, a volume cannot have more than 65,356allocation blocks. This has two ramifications:
- An allocation block can store information for only one file, sothe absolute maximum number of files on a volume is 65,356.
- The larger a volume is, the larger its minimum file size will be.

วิธีใช้
ท่านสามารถป้อนเนื้อหาหรือ URL ของเว็บไซต์ที่ต้องการให้แนบความหมายนี้ ในช่องใส่ข้อความค้นหาปกติ
หลังจากนั้นเลือกบริการที่ต้องการ (เช่น ถ้าป้อนข้อความ ให้เลือก PopThai (text) ถ้าป้อน URL ให้เลือก PopThai (URL)) ถ้าท่านไม่เลือกบริการระบบจะเดาบริการที่ท่านต้องการ จากข้อความที่ท่านใส่เข้ามา (ว่าเป็นข้อความหรือเป็น URL) โดยอัตโนมัติ,จากนั้นกด Submit เป็นอันเสร็จ
ในกรณีที่ท่านใส่ URL ระบบจะไปทำการดาวน์โหลดเนื้อหาของหน้านั้นๆ มาและแนบความหมาย พร้อมแก้ไขลิงค์ต่างๆ ให้เป็นผ่านบริการ PopThai เพื่อที่ว่าเมื่อท่านกดที่ลิงค์ใดๆ ต่อไปจากเพจนั้นๆ ก็จะมีการแนบความหมายมาให้ด้วยในทันที
