Hello, my name is Robert Pound, and I'm a product technologist for Quest. In this video, we'll show you how to download and install the preview for Toad Edge Postgres on Mac. So starting at toadworld.com and clicking on the Downloads tab, we can see everything available to us. But what we're looking for the Toad Edge Postgres preview, so I'll go ahead and click Get Preview. And I will be invited to enter in some information. It's important to note that we've selected Mac OS-- and entering in an email address that is either associated with a Quest account, or remember this email address so you can set up a Quest account during login. And I will go ahead and accept the license and click Download. While that's downloading, we are presented with links to both the release notes and the user's guide. This has information including prerequisites, as well as different installation methods. So it's useful to check these out. Highlights of the prerequisites include 4 gig of RAM, at least 500 megabytes of space, and a dual-m core processor, and a newer version of OS X. And once it's downloaded, we can open up our downloads and double click on the Preview Package. This will open up a installation wizard. So from the welcome page, I can click Continue. And we will be presented with the end-user license agreement. So once I click Continue here, I will be asked to agree with the license. And it will be installed on the hard drive. If you already have Toad Edge installed on this system, it will be installed side-by-side, as this is a preview. So I'm going to go ahead and click Install. And once it's successfully completed, I can go ahead and close. And if we open up Finder-- and on the applications, now we can see the Toad Edge preview. And as you can see, I have Toad Edge installed on the system as well. So let's go ahead and open up the preview. And if this is the first time we're logging in, we'll be asked to enter in our credentials with our Quest account. And again, if you don't have a Quest account, just use the email address that you entered in to download the trial and sign up for a new account. You'll be asked some questions and verifying your email address, and then you should be good to go. And that's all there is to it. Your Toad Edge preview is open and ready for use. I hope you found this video helpful. For more information on this or other topics, you can go to the community-driven innovation going on at www.toadworld.com. Hello All - Apologies. I'm not as computer savvy as you are. I'm trying to move my Thunderbird emails from a Windows PC over to a 2019 iMac. The emails have sentimental value.
I've been searching this forum for the past two weeks trying to figure this out on my own. There's a video and a file (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer) that explain the migrating process; I've followed these instructions 7 or 8 times without any success. I've gone in and deleted all traces of Thunderbird from the iMac before each new migration attempt. I replace the profile file with what should be the correct profile file, but the newly installed Thunderbird doesn't 'see' the old local mailboxes and instead prompts me to create a new account.

I was successful years ago in moving my Thunderbird account from one PC to another. This current situation is throwing me for a loop. It is probably something ridiculously easy that you will think everyone knows about, but clearly I don't. Thanks so *very* much for your help.
