Special Projects Internship
Our special project interns this fall will assist FRONTLINE’s award-winning interactive team on a major multimedia investigation that will combine text, video, photography, audio and graphics. Past projects this team has produced include “Inheritance” and “The Last Generation,” which have been recognized by the Emmys, Peabodys, duPont-Columbia Awards and more. We’re constantly innovating and experimenting, so they will gain hands-on experience on a team with lots of opportunities.
Interns will be joining the team for a busy period of production, reporting, and project building. They will contribute in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to: assisting with research, reporting data management, media management and organization. A particular interest in the civil rights era is a plus.
Editorial Internship
Our editorial interns assist the senior editorial staff with a variety of tasks, including but not limited to conducting research, assisting with the story submission review process, maintaining the series library, and fielding producer inquiries. This internship is an opportunity to work with broadcast professionals to learn the intricacies of producing long format investigative documentary television.
We’re looking for someone with excellent research, writing and organizational skills, in addition to a good work ethic. A candidate should also possess the ability to work independently, take initiative, and must be able to function in a fast paced environment. This internship requires a commitment of 15-20 hours a week. The work schedule is flexible and will be determined on an individual basis.
Post-Production Internship
FRONTLINE is seeking interested students who are eager to learn about and assist with the process of getting a weekly PBS television series on the air. All majors are welcome; television, film, broadcasting or journalism students are especially encouraged. This internship is an opportunity to work with broadcast professionals to learn the intricacies of the post-production process.
Interns will learn how to work within a post-production team, come away with a solid understanding of the post process and current standards and formats, and learn how to operate independently in a top-of-the-line facility. The internship will also provide the opportunity to observe AVID online documentary editing sessions and FRONTLINE screenings. Interns will assist the Post-Production Coordinator and FRONTLINE OutPost staff with a variety of tasks, including but not limited to tracking assets, archiving production media, footage research and client services.
We accept and review resumes on a rolling basis. Interested applicants should be responsible, show initiative, and possess a general understanding of television production. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. This internship requires a commitment of 16-20 hours a week. The work schedule is flexible and will be determined on an individual basis.
Social Media Internship

Our social media interns work closely with the Online Engagement Coordinator, assisting with the research, drafting and proofing of written content for social media platforms, including Twitter and Facebook. The intern may also take on special projects as assigned, such as researching potential social media contacts, tools, events and opportunities.
